Known for being a dramatic actress, Kim Chiu turned into a comedienne in her latest film ”Bride for Rent,” the second movie with her onscreen partner Xian Lim.

Unveiled on Star Cinema’s YouTube page, short clips show Chiu’s character apparently auditioning for an acting role.
Chiu is seen gamely delivering a declamation piece and performing an “interpretative dance.” She then screams upon learning of the role she is applying for — to be the wife of Xian Lim’s character.
“Bride for Rent” is directed by Mae Czarina Cruz (“She’s the One,” “Catch Me… I’m in Love”) and is scheduled for a January 15, 2014 release.
This premiere date is less than a year since the release of “Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo?“, the first big-screen team-up of Chiu and Lim, which grossed over P100 million in three weeks.
Before “Bakit Hindi Ka Crush ng Crush Mo?”, Chiu and Lim co-starred in the primetime series “My Binondo Girl,” which introduced their tandem, and the highly successful “Ina, Kapatid, Anak.”
Together with Chiu and Lim in the film are Pilita Corales, Tirso Cruz III, Matt Evans, Martin del Rosario, and Matt Evans.
The much-anticipated movie opens January 15, 2014 in more than 100 theaters nationwide.
